What customers say?

“ Hidden Gem! We went twice to Enoteca Porta Osio as a couple. Once for an a la carte dinner and once for a set 6 course menu. Both visits we very much enjoyed since meals were wonderful mix of classic elements (tuna, lamb, pasta) but including modern tastes and interpretations. Also the wines were excellent as the service as such. Ask for Dennis‘ wine recommendations and you‘ll not only get the right grape but also the story to the related bottle… The location 5 minutes walk off the main shopping street keeps the masses of tourists away but attracts those who want to enjoy great food. ”

“ The dinner was divine, the wine—a perfect grace. Tuna, in the second course, danced with a flavor rare and bold. This is the art I seek in every place I dine. Where dishes are crafted not just by skilled hands, But stirred, most surely, by the heart. ”

- Piotr Byliński -

“ Excellent food, kind staff, nice atmosphere. We had tuna tartare, tuna tataki, and sea strawberries ragu. All cooked perfectly. The portions were enormous. ”

- Bogdan Stanchev -

“ Very good food, cute place and lovely staff. We shared the antipasti and the dessert, and we got 1 “primo” per person. Around 30€ per person (we didn’t drink wine, only water) ”

- Gabriela Vendito -

“ Great food and service! Thank you for the dread dinner experience. ”

- Vladimir Radzivil -

“ Had a really enjoyable lunch - it’s a Wednesday afternoon and I’m sat in this nicely decorated back room. Ordered myself an octopus with artichoke for starter and a prawn pasta as a main. Both dishes are delicious. Amazing service, I didn’t even have to wait long for the food and the portions are super generous as well. ”

- Cassidy Cheung -

“ We choose this restaurant based on recommendations. It was a very quiet Thursday evening so only us but this did not diminish the service and the quality of the cooking. Menu is interesting, homemade and combines a wide variety of produce to create some wonderful tastes. Highly recommended!! ”

- Peter Magill -

“ What a great evening we had! The highlight of our trip. The Porta Osio is a small place near the center of Bergamo. It has a small selection of slow food dishes and a wide selection of wines. We were received with a nice free amuse bouche and they offered us some special kids friendly dishes for our little ones. The pasta starters were incredible and the meat mains weren't also good though not as good as the starters. Deserts were yummy and the wine they recommended was mindblowing. The total was 160€ of which 60€ was the wine. Go there! ”
